Leo Cunha is a writer, journalist, and university professor. He has published more than 60 books for children and young adults, along with five books of chronicles. His work has received several awards, including the Nestlé Prize, Biblioteca Nacional, Jabuti, João-de-barro, FNLIJ, among others. He has translated around 30 children's and young adult books by authors such as Antônio Skarmeta, David McKee, and Gabriela Mistral. A PhD in cinema from UFMG, he has been a university professor since 1997.
Thais Beltrame is a visual artist. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago and has participated in several solo and group exhibitions in cities across Brazil, Europe, and the United States, where she was also selected for Artist Residencies. Her work has illustrated and been featured in various national and international publications, such as Juxtapoz Magazine. She has illustrated more than a dozen books, some of which have received important awards, like the Jabuti Prize, and have been included in notable selections. The artist lives and works in the Serra da Mantiqueira.
