Masters of Rock Art

,

Author: Stella Elia

Illustrator: Weberson Santiago

"Around the world, various treasures have been found in archaeological sites thousands of years old… Cultural heritage that must be preserved. Altamira was the first cave discovered, filled with paintings in its rooms and galleries, a treasure found by little Maria. In Lascaux, the drawings come to life: horses, bulls, mammoths, and bison fought battles like brutes."

How did humans live in the time of caves? How did they play? What did they draw in those days? And how did they draw? The work Masters of Rock Art takes the reader on a historical journey, exploring human records of their daily life, the first written and artistic records, and the earliest graphical representations in human history. With illustrations rich in playful colors and movements, and text always interacting with the images, the book stimulates the reader’s imagination while discussing this fundamental knowledge.
