Laura Teixeira was born in São Paulo in 1976. She is an author, illustrator, and designer. She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at USP, where she also earned a master's degree. She specialized in illustration at the Escola de Disseny i Art in Barcelona. Always using drawing as her primary means of artistic expression, her work is characterized by experimentation and research—ranging from the materials she uses to the ways in which images interact with text and the objects on which they will be printed. Laura contributes to various publications and also works in graphic design.
